Timothy Babb is a 3D digital artist with an extensive knowledge of a variety of programs and skill sets.

Most recently, Tim worked for SpinVFX, a post-production studio located in Atlanta GA and Toronto Canada. Prior to that, Tim was the Animation Program Director, Associate Director of the School of Digital Arts, and Animation Professor for Wichita State University.

His work has spanned everything from television ads and theatrical set projections and animations, to film special effects, environments, and VR game effects and textures.

Digital Effects

Timothy is passionate about breath-taking, storytelling art! He creates everything from digital sets, matte paintings and 3D characters to explosions, animations and simple motion graphics, with great storytelling at the heart of it all. He’s also proficient in Python, so he can write programs and manipulate code to expand program capabilities, while maintaining the best quality and fastest speeds possible.

Theatre Effects

Timothy’s award winning digital artwork has been featured in many theatrical productions nation-wide. If you’re interested in creating a digital set or animation for your next theatrical production, don’t hesitate to give him a call and see what he can do within your timeframe and budget constraints.

Teaching

Whether you are looking for mentoring/tutoring in digital arts or your school is in need of a digital arts teacher, Tim would be happy to help! He has taught several classes in person and online in the university setting, both as full time faculty and as an adjunct. He has curricula already created for Animation I,II III, Rigging, VFX & Compositing I, II, Intro to Houdini, and Computer Modeling.
